from her (the zine) uses imagery of old family photos from the 1950s- very familiar and intimate imagery, from a time when womens voices were even more repressed than the present, yet their lives were often painted over as perfect. this imagery is used in a new context, with lyrics from current female musicians, and illustrations.
Inspired by female lyricists & singer-songwriters, From Her started as a small collection of thought from soft-spoken artists with loud messages, shared through zine.
